Maui Wowi Hawaiian Shines the ‘Aloha Spirit’ on their newest Franchisee in Roscoe, IL

Kathy knows what it takes to run a business after spending 26 years working for the McDonald’s Corporation, with 12 years as a restaurant manager.  During that time, she learned a lot about how to represent a brand and give customers the service they deserve. But recently, she decided it was time to become independent and begin a business she could call her own.

“I knew the concept was really good because the beverage system is huge right now!” said Kathy.  “Everyone is jumping on board and financially, it was something I could get my feet into.”

She originally wanted to start with a fixed retail location but after speaking with some knowledgeable existing franchisees, she saw the value of starting with a mobile unit. The mobile unit called a Ka’anapali cart will allow her to gain brand awareness throughout her community so that later she can expand her business and everyone will be lining up for the tastes of Hawaii.

In addition to the beverage system that caught her eye, she also saw that behind the scenes, there was a lot of help. Kathy said, “I was really impressed with the support team and how they treated me like family or ‘Ohana. They wanted to take care of me. I could feel it. I was in the right place.”

With the key to her future now in hand, Kathy is ready to begin her journey with Maui Wowi Hawaiian and can’t wait to start brewing and blending delicious coffees and smoothies in Roscoe, IL.
