By: Ashleigh Slattery Innovative test-drive event yields much-needed money for Sports Booster Club Conrad, IA – Union Auto, BCLUW High School and members of the local community raised $5,100 for BCLUW High School at a recent test-drive event, as part of Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program. For each of the over 250 Conrad-area residents who test-drove a Ford vehicle at BCLUW High School last April 16, Union Auto and Ford Motor Company donated $20, with funds going toward the Sports Booster Clubs. Since the program’s inception in 2007, Drive One 4 UR School has offered 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events to generate over $5 million for high schools nationwide. The money raised during the Drive One 4 UR School program has helped ensure that extracurricular actives like sports and music programs continue in local communities. “Our first Drive One 4 UR School event was successful and we were thrilled to offer this opportunity to help raise money for BCLUW. We appreciate all of the participants were able to experience an enjoyable test drive despite the cold and windy weather,” said Nathan Bernard of Union Auto.
