June 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Beepbeep.ie has decided to launch a free 'Tweeting Taxi' service in the capital, which will allow users to book a cab on Facebook or Twitter every Friday, beginning this week for the next two months. The service is available on a first come, first served basis and the taxi can be booked from 4-9pm, starting from Friday 10th June until 29th July 2011.

Suzanne Sheridan, Beepbeep.ie’s press officer says “The reason we’re putting together our social media campaign is that it’s something that hasn’t been done before – it’s Ireland’s first free taxi. 4pm on Friday is often the time when we're on Facebook or Twitter, deciding what we’re doing for the evening with our friends, so it’s a nice way to start the weekend to get a free taxi to wherever you’re going in the city centre.”

There has been a huge increase in the numbers of people booking services through online and through social media, which helped inspire the idea. Beepbeep.ie is typically known as a used car website but has recently begun a focused social media strategy. The launch of the Tweeting Taxi highlights their innovation in this new direction and will also please many taxi users surely.

If you fancy the chance of a free ride, all you have to do is check out www.facebook.com/beepbeep.ie or DM Taxi Man Brian on Twitter @beepbeep_ie
