PRLog (Press Release) -
Jun. 10, 2011 - Father’s Day became more officially recognised in the early 20th Century and rumour has it, was introduced to compliment Mothers Day. The first recorded Fathers Day is said to have been held on the 5th July 1908 in a church located in West Virginia, USA. Over the years, Fathers Day has gained popularity and is now celebrated in 52 countries around the world. The idea behind Fathers Day is not unlike Mother’s Day, as it is a day for celebrating fatherhood and male parenting, as well as commemorating fathers and forefathers. It did take a number of years for Fathers Day to be taken seriously.
