“Students and faculty are eager to clean out their closets, garages, and donate money to support relief efforts. A multiple tiered approach is being undertaken to provide a variety of different ways to help in whatever outlet our team can provided. Whether donating supplies, blood or money you can be sure that our college community is comprehensively instilling positive change after the turmoil left in the wake of the tornados,” said Ronnie Carlson, executive support for the colleges.
All monetary proceeds of Project Joplin will be donated to the Red Cross. Anyone wishing to donate $10 immediately may text the Red Cross at “90999”. Larger donations will be collected by Carlson. Supplies needed include bottled water, hygiene products, baby items, blankets, clothing, non-perishable food items, first aid kits, batteries and flashlights. Donation boxes are located at the front desk and retail stores at all three campuses.
As one of the company’s core values, CCC is diligent in upholding its corporate social responsibility and contributes both monetarily and through volunteerism to more than 30 charities in the Tulsa Metro area.
