The Charles C. Keller Excellence Award for Corporate Philanthropy will be presented each year to a local for-profit business that demonstrates an outstanding record of giving and community service. The award criteria includes: a company philosophy of community service; encouragement of employee commitment at multiple levels of the company; donation of resources including financial, personnel, facility or product; orchestration of a sustained effort to address a community need; and promotion of active community participation by others.
“I have long believed that community service is an extension of an attorney’s obligation to help people solve problems,” said Keller. “I am proud that my law firm has a long history of involvement in service clubs such as Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis and Zonta clubs, and am deeply honored that the Washington County Community Foundation has deemed our efforts worthy of such high praise. I look forward to seeing many other deserving businesses receive this honor.”
