PRLog - June 9, 2011 - SAN DIEGO -- Everyone says records are meant to be broken and broken they were last week when 5 dogs rode on one surfboard for the first ever five dog tandem surfboard ride. The dogs performed the stunt twice in front of thousands of spectators at The Loews Surf Dog Contest in Imperial Beach San Diego.

This is the 6th year that The Loews has sponsored the event which included over 60 canines and thousands of onlookers and photographers.

The dogs include a wide range of big and small dogs which are all members of the "SoCal Surf Dogs" dog surfing team which competes at several events through out the year. Many of the dogs and dog owners have been competing in the events since they began six years ago and the dogs and their owners are getting better each year and performing more complicated rides and stunts for the dogs to perform.
