Vintage Seekers Unveils Bolero and Sweater Worn by Wallis Simpson

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 8, 2011 - The first item is a tailor-made cashmere and ocelot sweater from 1960. A fitted, short-sleeved black knitted sweater with real ocelot fur panel down the front, it shows just why Wallis Simpson was regarded as such a style icon in her day.

There’s also a beaded pale blue and silver bolero encrusted with sequins and glass crystals, designed by Christian Dior in 1963. Actress Gillian Anderson, who played Wallis Simpson in the BBC adaptation of William Boyd’s Any Human Heart, recently wore the bolero to the 2011 BAFTA ceremony.
