MATournament UK's First and Only 100% Charitable Martial Arts Event

June 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Last year's event was a total success with over 200 competitors joining in and over £5,000 raised for charity and Reaction Sport (www.reactionsport.com) is proud to be the official sponsor. Event organisers expect even higher figures for this year's event which will take place at the ‘Kings Park Tennis Centre’ in Northampton on Sunday 17th of July. It is estimated that over 1000 competitors will show up for this year's event.

Following last year's favourable outcome, event organiser and captain of the ProAction Taekwondo team, Tom Nicholson is very optimistic about this year's event. He has invited Palcic Taekwondo Club from north London who should be joining in with nearly 800 students which will give a real boost to the second edition of MATournament.

The event will count with numerous disciplines such as traditional, freestyle, special techniques, power competition and sparring. Beside disciplines competitors will be divided as follow:

Kids - age 4 to 6 years old
Juniors - age 6 to 15 – split by grade level and height / weight
Adults - age 16 + - split by weight, sex, grade level

All competitors will receive a participation certificate kids aged 4 to 6 (Mighty Monkeys) will receive a medal of participation. The money raised will be split and donated to two charities, "Help for Heroes" and “The Jennifer Trust”.
