Jeff "The Snowman" Monson Hosts MMA Amateur Showcase

June 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Come meet Jeff “The Snowman” Monson as he hosts Play Hard Thursdays #3.

He's known as the Snowman and as one of the best MMA grapplers in the world.  Now, Jeff "The Snowman" Monson can also put MMA Cage host on his resume.

The ISKA Fight Time Promotions Heavyweight Champion will be hosting Play Hard #3 on Thursday, June 9th, 2011 at the hottest nightclub on South Beach a week before his big fight on Strikeforce.

Club Play on South Beach and Fight Time Promotions, the leading MMA fight company in South Florida, teamed up to showcase live MMA Amateur Cage Fights for PLAY Hard Thursdays.  

The MMA Amateur cage fights are being produced and promoted by Fight Time Promotions, which is owned and operated by Howard Davis Jr., 1976 Boxing Olympic Gold Medalist.  Fight Time Promotions is not only a reputable MMA professional fight company, but a strong force in the community as it continues to hold its popular “Fight Time” series at the War Memorial Auditorium in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

With a new law in Florida, requiring amateurs to have 5 sanctioned amateur fights under their belt prior to turning pro, Club Play will be giving these amateurs a new venue to showcase their skills to Fight Time Promotions.  

Club Play will be the host venue for 2 MMA Amateur shows a month as well as a $25,000.00 Lightweight tournament, which begins in July of this year being promoted by Fight Time Promotions, LLC.    All of the MMA Amateur shows are sanctioned by the ISKA.

Club Play is a 21 and over nightclub and will be showing Game 5 of the NBA finals featuring the Miami Heat this Thursday (June 9th) night along with the LIVE MMA Amateur Cage Fights!
