CANDIDATE23 announce plans for Confusion

June 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Runcorn based indie pop/rock band CANDIDATE23 have announced the release of their 2nd single, Confusion, which will be available to download from Monday 1st August.  The band will be celebrating the release with an official launch party which will take place on 30th July at the Studio, Lacey Street, Widnes and they are currently looking for 2 bands to take to the stage with them.

CANDIDATE23 entered Halton’s Got Talent 3, a local talent competition run by Halton Borough Council, 12 months ago and since then their success has steadily increased. In May alone the lads performed in Leiria, Portugal and on the main stage at the HUB Festival, Liverpool. Their debut single, One for You, reached number 10 in the iTunes Rock chart after lead singer Will Hayes appeared on Radio One’s Chris Moyle’s Show.
In July this year, the lads will be returning to where it all began. After performing on the main stage at the Warrington Festival they will be driven to the Brindley Theatre, High Street, Runcorn, where they will be performing a very special set at this year’s Halton’s Got Talent Final. Lead guitarist Alex McIntyre said “being invited back to perform at HGT4 is brilliant, it’s very special to us – it gave us our chance and it’s something we will never forget.”

The Confusion launch night, which will be filmed by Red 7 Films, will be attended by celebrities & local dignitaries. There will also be a number of tickets available to the public – ticket details are available at www.candidate23.com  CANDIDATE23 are looking for 2 local bands to perform on the night and share the spotlight with them.
