PRLog - Jun. 7, 2011 - Bee Ware, the specialist in Web application security, and Bull, European leader in open and secure IT systems, have entered into a partnership that will ensure the interoperability of their respective solutions i-Suite and CRYPT2Pay.
Pooling their expertise allows Bee Ware and Bull to address security issues pertaining to critical Web traffic and compliance with regulatory standards, such as the PCI-DSS which applies to online payments.
In practice, any user logging into a sensitive Web application (e-banking or e-commerce for example) needs the assurance that the website is authentic and that any dispatched or received data remains confidential. With the combination of i-Suite (security platform with integrated Web Application Firewall) and CRYPT2Pay (HSM for high performance encryption), Bee Ware and Bull fulfil two vital requirements of sensitive web architectures:
• Traffic assessment to ensure that vulnerabilities are blocked
• Access key protection to prevent usurpation of a website and the disclosure of private data
CRYPT2PayTM (http://bull.fr/payment-security) is a hardware device designed to secure electronic banking transactions and withdrawal and payment operations carried out by credit card on contact or contactless sytems.
CRYPT2Pay has been approved by international bank authorities (Visa, MasterCard International, American Express Global Network Services, Groupement des Cartes Bancaires). i-Suite enables organizations to accelerate, optimize and secure http(s):// traffic. The embedded graphical workflow wizard makes i-Suite easy to manage and streamlines infrastructure operation, deployment and maintenance.
«Our partnership with Bull helps us to further qualify our status as a major Web application security player », declared Marc Vaillant, CEO of Bee Ware. «Together we now provide a significant response to the security issues surrounding web-based transactions».
«Our combined solution has already been successfully rolled out in the banking sector to protect e-commerce infrastructures. We’re delighted with this partnership which is going to allow us to extend the experience to other sensitive Web transaction market segments, » added Antoine Villepelet, Director of Security Operations at Bull.
