Golden Queue means that you don’t lose customers to an engaged tone – when the customer calls, if all your lines are busy then instead of just being told that “the number you are calling is busy, please hang up and try again later”, thus risking the customer never calling back, they are instead placed in queue until there is someone available. Often, you have just one chance to get that customer, so you don’t want to blow it.

Golden Queue also informs customers of their position in the queue, so that they have some idea of how long they are going to be waiting, instead of dreading that they’re going to be there for 15 minutes when in fact they are number one in the queue and will probably only have to wait about ten seconds. Many people will soon give up when they are told they are in a queue, but be told you are in a queue and are in position one, then it becomes obvious straight away that they are not going to be waiting long.

Golden Queue can hold up to 50 different callers simultaneously, so everyone who is calling you should be either speaking to someone or waiting in the queuing system. As you would expect, Golden Queue plays music to callers whilst they are waiting in the queue, and also plays comfort messages informing callers that their call is important.

The great benefit of Golden Queue is that your customers have the option to leave a voicemail message if they have been waiting in the queue too long. This is of great benefit to both you and to them, as they don’t have to spend forever waiting in a queue, but still know that their query will get answered, and you don’t have to risk having an angry customer, or even worse, risk a customer putting the phone down in despair and thus losing that potential customer. Thus, they get what they phoned up about dealt with, you got your customer happy, and although the preferred option is that they get to speak straight away to a human being, this is a much better second best option to getting frustrated and not getting to speak to anyone at all.
