The Fastest Way to Build Muscle: Top 3 Tips (2 of These Will Amaze You)

Discover the fastest way to build muscle. Top fitness trainer reveals: what to do before, during and after your workout to build muscle, boost your metabolism, look and feel great.

June 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Finding the fastest way to build muscle is not a quest reserved for the 90 pound weakling.  Modern science has proven that adding muscle to your frame can have physiological as well as aesthetic benefits.  Often women like to tone and shape their physiques while men like to add size and symmetry to theirs.  But the real benefits lie in the ability for additional muscle mass to boost your body’s metabolic rate so you burn more fat all the time.

Burbank, California fitness trainer and creator of the Ballistic Body Fitness system, Scott Yonehiro, reveals the following three step path to the fastest way to build muscle.  This is the exact information he shares with his paid clients to add sexy lean muscle to their physiques.

1.   Eat enough quality foods – Ideally you should be eating five to six small meals per day with an emphasis on having protein with each meal.  That works out to having a meal every 2.5 to 3 hours focused around a good quality source of protein beginning with your first meal within 30 minutes of waking in the morning.  This system will help curb hunger and make sure that your body has the building blocks it needs to build lean muscle.

2.   High intensity weight bearing exercise –The easiest way to learn this form of exercise is to have a knowledgeable trainer show you or follow the video examples on our site at BallisticBodyFitness.com.  You can use classic weight lifting or use only your own body-weight but the key is to operate at a high level of intensity.  Performing an exercise to failure, meaning you can’t do any more repetitions of the exercise, will create lactic acid in your body that triggers cortisol release.  Cortisol is the chemical that is responsible for breaking down your muscle tissue and the body adapts by repairing the muscle tissue a bit stronger than before. Sounds complicated but to put it simply, when you reach the point of failure, you are building muscle.

3.   Sleep – This is the step that is often overlooked in our overworked society.  Sleep is when your body is actually rebuilding the muscles that have been broken down during exercise.  You need a minimum of 6-8 hours per night of good quality restful sleep depending on your genetics and other lifestyle factors.  In a 24 hour period there are 8-12 cycles where the body produces testosterone and growth hormone and most of this occurs after intense exercise and deep sleep.

The fastest way to build muscle is as simple as 1-2-3; Eat enough quality foods (5-6 small meals per day), perform high intensity weight bearing exercise (to failure), and get plenty of sleep (at least 6-8 hours per night).  Keep it simple, remember the steps, and enjoy the fastest way to build muscle.
