June 6, 2011 - PRLog -- CHARLOTTE, NC The Classic Graphics’ event, ClassicLive! held on Friday June 3rd, unveiled a new 180,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Innovation Park. The nearly 700 guests in attendance included clients, vendors and prospective clients.

The word “classic” above the company’s main entrance symbolizes the rebirth and evolution of the 28-year-old Classic Graphics brand. As the company developed to meet the growing needs of clients, its diverse range of capabilities needed a more flexible and expandable brand identity all under one roof. The new brand "classic” will encompass the company’s services of print, mailing, fulfillment, complex kitting, data management, branded merchandise and classic continuum, a division that aims to simplify marketing workflows through web-deployed platforms.

The classic concept began in 1983 when friends and co-workers, Bill Gardner and David Pitts, borrowed $15,000 from family to begin their own printing company. During the early years, Gardner worked part-time as a Piedmont Airlines gate agent and Pitts worked part-time for Belk Printing Company, returning after their daily shifts to run print jobs into the early morning hours. “Our staff (four people) worked around the clock to make Classic Graphics a success,” stated Gardner. Hard work coupled with Pitts’ passion for technological advances has served classic well, helping the company achieve and maintain its position as an industry leader.

“We couldn’t have done it without our loyal clients and team,” emphasized Pitts. “This has been an exciting ride and putting the customer’s needs at the center of our business has been a core value we’ll always embrace.”

The new chapter in the classic legacy came alive on Friday. After a guided tour, guests mingled and enjoyed refreshments while several of classic’s musically talented employees performed on the ClassicLive! stage. “This has been a lot of fun,” said Karen Smith, a talented singer and member of the pre-press department. One of the guests, Frank Fogle, Sales Manager Arjobex America, Inc., travels throughout North America interfacing with 1,000s of print companies, was impressed. “Classic may be one of the top ten technologically advanced print facilities in the country,” noted Fogle.

Smiling, Ralph Belk, Managing Partner said, “It has been wonderful to have everyone here to celebrate the launch of classic’s next chapter.”
