Follow on Google News | Ashworth College steps up in support of Children’s Miracle NetworkAshworthy Causes, Ashworth College’s on-going community outreach program, has kicked off its latest fundraising initiative to support the Cure Kids Cancer and Children’s Miracle Network Hospital annual walk on June 12 at Six Flags Over Georgia.
By: Ashworth College From now until the June 12 event, the Georgia-based online college administration and staff will seek individual sponsors with total proceeds contributing to the school’s overall monetary team goal. The walk will take place at Six Flags Over Georgia. “The Ashworth team is walking in memory of the daughter of one of our staff members,” said Cerise Lake, Ashworth’s Human Resource Administrator. “Giving back to the community is important to the Ashworth staff especially when there is a personal connection to one of our own.” Known as a leading provider of nationally accredited online education programs, Ashworth College prides itself in its community outreach endeavors and regularly supports several organizations to include Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, the American Cancer Society, The Salvation Army and March of Dimes. About A Walk in the Park 2011 marks the fourth annual A Walk In The Park with proceeds helping Children's Miracle Network Hospitals treat kids for every injury and illness, from cancer and heart defects, to Cystic Fibrosis and accident trauma. All funds raised remain in the community where they were donated and go to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
