Third Friday - Coffee House & Open Mic with "Voices of Mercy"

June 5, 2011 - PRLog -- St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 1475 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca, will hold its monthly “Third Friday” coffee house and open mic in the church’s fellowship hall on Friday, June 17 from 7:00-10:00 p.m.  This month will feature the music of Voices of Mercy, the musical arm of St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy.

St. Luke's Mission of Mercy, located at 325 Walden Avenue, is an independent Mission in the Buffalo’s inner city. This community, consisting of Amy Betros and Norm Paolini, Co-Founders and Co-Directors, and 15 full time lay missionaries, strive to live a message of love and mercy for all through service to the poor and broken. This service is carried out through works of mercy that include providing food, housing, clothing, shelter and counseling.

Cover charge is $2 per person.  Children twelve and under are free.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.  Featured musicians will play from 7:30 to 8:30.  Talented performers are invited to participate in an open mic session starting at 8:45.  A variety of tasty desserts will be for sale, along with hot and cold beverages to enjoy as guests sit and chat, play games, and listen to great music.  Further information may be obtained by calling the church office at 674-1233 or visiting www.st-petersucc.org.
