Freedom Over Texas Lights Up Houston with More Freedom to Celebrate in 2011!

June 3, 2011 - PRLog -- The largest land based display of Fireworks in the USA will ignite the sky, and country tunes will set the stage for an extraordinary patriotic celebration at Houston’s official Fourth of July event, Freedom Over Texas.  Country music artists Jack Ingram, Chris Young and Rodney Atkins will perform this year’s 25th annual event held from 4 to 10 p.m. on Monday, July 4, culminating with a spectacular fireworks show that will light up the downtown skyline.

Admission to the event is FREE with the donation of one canned food item per person for the Houston Food Bank. In conjunction with the Fourth of July festivities, the State of Texas celebrates its 175th anniversary in 2011.

Freedom Over Texas Celebration Zones

Bud Light Zone:

Cool off in the Bud Light Zone with a cold one at the Budweiser Beer Garden, and enjoy a prime view of the sixth annual Bud Light Texas Volleyball Championship Series Finals.  While visiting the area, Stop by the Bud Light MXT and check out the latest satellite TV, DVC, and Xbox 360 ® games!

KBR Liberty Park Zone:

KBR Liberty Park Zone will showcase military artifacts and vehicles including representation from all five military branches and more.  The branches and the Houston Police Department will offer recruiting on site.

Walmart All American Kids Zone:

More than 30,000 square feet of free educational programming and entertainment await children in the Walmart All American Kids Zone.

Land Rover Zone:

Visit the Houston Area Land Rover Centres Zone for a look at the latest lineup of Land Rovers and Range Rovers.

Reliant Energy Red, White, and Green Scene:

This official area has been designed to educate Houstonians on how to protect the environment and conserve energy. Participants can enjoy many interactive exhibits in the Reliant Energy Red, White, and Green Scene.

Family Fitness Zone:

The Family Fitness Challenge Zone is an .area filled with family friendly activities, games and interactive components designed to introduce participants to all levels of physical fun.
