By: Action on Film Vick Wright's film, "White Trash Noir" is the story of a small-town detective who sets off on a mission the day before he retires to track down a murderer. Wright's film integrates the post-apocalyptic element of Alfred Hitchcock films with a Southern feel. Working on the script for two years, Wright also directed the film - utilizing his extreme talent and capability in more than just one facet of film production. Excited to be a part of the AOF Festival in July, Wright says, 'many good films come out of the festival, and it is great to be surrounded by so many talents.' The festival, garnering more than 600 filmmakers and writers worldwide, will be held July 22-30, 2011 in Pasadena, CA. Wright will have the chance to network and mingle with hundreds of other talented filmmakers and directors at the event. As it takes place over the course of eight days, the 2011 Action on Film Festival is expected to attract thousands of filmwriters, directors, writers, and fans. The festival will screen hundreds of short and full length features while also hosting a variety of dinner parties and celebrations throughout.
