June 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Paul and Karen Ryan and their 14-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter had outgrown their three bedroom semi in Market Harborough.  Although they spent several months looking at many different properties in nearby Desborough where larger properties are better value, they kept coming back to Persimmon’s The Grange development and the Tennyson house-style.

“We knew we needed more space but had to work out whether we could afford the house we really liked,” says 46-year-old Paul.  “When the sales advisor at The Grange told us about part exchange, we agreed to a valuation and it came back at exactly what we thought our house was worth.

“We were pleasantly surprised and it meant we could do the deal and buy our new home.”

Claire Lambert, sales director for Persimmon Homes Midlands, comments: “Part Exchange enables homeowners to make a stress-free move.  They don’t get stuck in a chain so they can move quickly and easily in just a couple of months.

“We arrange for two local estate agents to value the buyer’s existing home and we then make an offer based on their recommendations.  Part exchange also enables the buyer to avoid paying costly estate agent’s fees.  Any savings can make a big difference to buyers in the current climate.”

The Ryan family moved into their new home in just six weeks and enjoyed visiting every weekend during that time to watch it being completed!

Paul says: “Our old house was pretty cramped.  We have so much space and freedom now that my wife thinks we’re on holiday.  We’re delighted.  The development is nice and peaceful with other families around.  My daughter loves it and is out playing with her new friends all the time.”

The Tennyson is a four bedroom detached property with a spacious lounge with patio doors to the rear garden on the ground floor.  There is also a dining room, kitchen and cloakroom.  The first floor sees a front-facing master bedroom with en suite, three further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

There are currently four Tennysons available at The Grange, with prices starting from £209,950.

For those looking for a smaller home, the Austen showhome is on sale at £169,950.  The three bedroom link semi-detached property comes complete with carpets, light fittings, extra appliances, curtains and blinds, plus a landscaped garden.

The Grange is in a beautiful location next to a country park with fields around.  It is situated to the north of the historic town of Desborough and just 10 minutes away from Market Harborough.  The development is within easy access of major road networks with the A14 close by, leading to the A1, M11, M1 and M6.

Paul, a Site Manager at a private school, adds: “I commute 20 minutes towards Leicester and it’s a lovely straight road through countryside.  My wife is a pre-school teacher in Market Harborough so it’s easy for both of us.  We’re very happy.”
