The Salesforce Foundation, based in San Francisco, California, launched officially one year after the company’s formation. Its product donation grant program donates 10 Enterprise Edition licenses to qualified nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions in an effort to help organizations working for social good more effectively achieve their mission. “I’m excited and grateful that SEM Link was chosen to receive this product donation grant award from the Salesforce Foundation" said Tokiwa T. Smith SEM Link Founder and Executive Director "We have been looking for ways to improve our operational efficiency through the incorporation of technology. This customer relationship management tool will allow us to build and strengthen our relationships as well as organize and automate some of our processes. "
SEM Link is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization, founded in 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia, that promotes student achievement and career exploration in math and science for K-12 students by connecting them with individuals with backgrounds in science, engineering and mathematics. SEM Link has a two-core program model, Experimental Design Program and Math and Science Career Academy, that provide students with opportunities to develop their math and science skills by enhancing the classroom learning experience and teaching them skills that are transferable to other areas of life. Since its inception SEM Link has enhanced educational experiences for over 1000 Metro Atlanta youth through hands on math and science activities, career exploration and exposure to real world applications of math and science. In January 2010, SEM Link expanded its programs to the Bay Area to enhance the educational experiences for Bay Area youth.
