PBN Bringing Vendors and Parents Together to Address Public School Crisis

PBN Education Conferences will allow you and your child an opportunity to meet with our preferred education partners first hand and to explore new ways of learning that will help your child dream and grow.

PRLog - Jun. 1, 2011 - The Obama Administration strategized to repair the No Child Left Behind Act. The revisions asked that each state lays out their own personal blueprint and create internal accountability systems that recognize student growth and school progress toward meeting their respective goals. The purpose of these revisions was to graduate students and prepare them for college and the workplace.

According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), only 21% of grade 12 students performed at or above the proficient level in three content areas- physical science, life science, and Earth/space science. In Math, 26% of all grade 12 students performed at or above the proficient level. As for reading performance, 38% of all grade 12 students performed at or above the proficient level. As a result, the Obama Administration is forced to review existing revisions as schools struggle to meet 100% proficiency in science, math, and reading.

A Washington Resident has decided to step up to the plate and is now doing his part to combat the public school crisis- both locally and nationwide.

Fred Matthews is the founder of PBN (www.pbntoday.com), a leader in scholarship and conference planning with a special emphasis on Education, Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. PBN is committed toward global education reform that will allow our children to become leaders in science, technology, music, fashion, and athletics.

"Our mission is to provide parents with the tools to support their children's education through mentoring and the development of networking solutions by way of conferencing, seminars, and online presentations," Matthews adds. "Our growth is steady but we're definitely gaining a lot of momentum leading in to our upcoming 2013 PBN Education Conference in Seattle, Washington."

The core offering of PBN will be its Education Conferences. These conferences connect parents with PBN's Preferred Education Providers and Business Partners first hand, while exploring new ways of learning that will help their child dream and grow.

“There are several events on the books that will all generate funds for scholarships, school improvements, and teacher assistance,” Matthews said. “In 2012, PBN will initiate a nationwide talent search for top vocals 4th to 12th grade which will surely create a lot of buzz. With over 400 exhibitors and over 30,000 attendees, the 2013 PBN Education Conference will take an important step forward to insure no child is ever left behind."
