Northeast PA Tech Group Provides Forum for Local Technology Start-ups

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 2, 2011 - Scranton, Pennsylvania, May 27, 2011 — NEP-Tech, the Northeast Pennsylvania Technology social networking group for people, companies and investors in the local high-tech industry, is holding its first new technology demo night on June 28th at the Scranton Enterprise Center, at 201 Lackawanna Ave., in downtown Scranton.

The new technology demo night is designed to give local technology start-up companies exposure to local resources such as software developers, hardware designers, marketing and sales experts as well as investors. At this event, each company will get ten minutes to “pitch” their product and company. Within the presentation they will be encouraged to quickly show what their technology is, who it’s for, and what they still need to successfully take their product to market.

“NEP-Tech was conceived to help encourage local high-technology development” said John Collins, founder of NEP-Tech. “The new technology demo night is really designed to connect technology start-ups with other technology people and resources they may not know of right here in Northeast PA. Plus, there are many early stage investors locally who are looking to learn about new technology start-ups and we want to be a forum to help make those connections.”

Each presentation will be followed by a five minute open Q&A. At the end of the presentations, there will be open networking time for attendees and presenters to mingle, and make connections.

Who Should Present?
Any company or individual who is actively working on a new technology product and within 12 months (+/-) of their product launch. Companies presenting should have a need for resources such as software/hardware engineers, designers, marketing specialists, sales, or capital investment in order to complete their product or expand sales. Who Should Attend?
NEP-Tech events are open to anyone to attend in the local high-tech field including students who are pursuing a career in high-tech. This includes software development, hardware development, web development, and technology related support services such as designers, legal and finance.
