Divabetic Vows to Inspire with Red-hot Advice for Divas and Diva Brides Living with Diabe

June 1, 2011 - PRLog -- In synch with June’s summer solstice and its bringing forth the longest, most extensive days of the year, so too has Divabetic reserved their grandest, most extensive programs for this month with a vow to inspire their divas and diva brides.  And since June is the most popular month for weddings, Divabetic will join the mass walk down the aisle with a special focus on brides living with diabetes.  “We plan to make use of every extra minute of daylight this month spreading our unique form of diabetes outreach.  This is what we call wellness with a wow,” says Max “Mr. Divabetic” Szadek, Founder and Executive Director of Divabetic, a national health and wellness nonprofit for women living with, affected by and at risk of diabetes.      

Highlights of the month include three Diva TalkRadio podcasts, all inspired by Oprah and hosted by the always entertaining healthcare host, Mr. Divabetic.  First, in keeping with Oprah’s mantra to ‘live your best life’ the Diabetes Spotlight will offer expert advice from San Francisco-based psychotherapist Ellen N. Resnick, LCSW, on Tuesday, June 7 at 6:00 PM.  Then it’s the Diabetes Roundtable with a whirlwind of popular segments:   Divabetic’s Charlie’s Angels of Diabetes Outreach, certified diabetes educators from across the country with hot topics; Dining Out with a Dietitian’s trip to Cracker Barrel for healthy menu options; Diabetes Numerology with real diva contestant Ms. Angie from Philadelphia; the Food Aisle Face-off pitting sausage against bacon in a ringside battle; Makeover in a Minute with celebrity makeup artist Sue Perez; Mother Your Diabetes Tips.  This fast-paced wellness smorgasbord will air live on Tuesday, June 14 at 6:00 PM.

The Bride’s Guide to Diabetes will be hosted by Mr. Divabetic and air live on Tuesday, June 21 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM – and it’s not just for brides!  For people living with, at risk of or affected by diabetes, planning or attending a wedding, this inside guide to one of life’s most important celebrations is a must.  Featuring an RSVP list of wedding, food and fashion experts with tips for brides, grooms, attendants and attendees, show guests include wedding cake designer Christine Campanelli, celebrity cookbook author Holly Clegg, former brides and more.
