Kevin Hirata, co-founder of MLB Blog Buzz, says the website has been looking to interact with users. “We wanted to create something that was beyond just the run-of-the-mill forum,” says Hirata. “Now, ’Connect’ allows our fans to not only create new topics, but also to create unique groups specifically geared towards select interests.”
The recent announcement comes on the heels of a new partnership with the Baseball Bloggers Alliance. According to the website’s Facebook fan page, the BBA was “formed in 2009 to foster communication and collaboration between bloggers across baseball.” As of late May, 2011, the website had 290 participating blogs.
