State Capital to Implement EnerGov's "Best of Breed" Licensing & Regulatory Suite

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 1, 2011 - Following an extensive RFP and subsequent evaluation process, the City of Columbia, SC has selected EnerGov’s Enterprise Server License & Regulatory Software Suite to manage the application submittal, review, approval, distribution and renewal of all business licenses within the city.  Additionally, the EnerGov software suite will be utilized to automate and manage the collection of all requisite Hospitality Taxes and Tourism Development Fees.

Columbia is the state capital and largest city in the U.S. state of South Carolina according to the 2010 census. The city is the center of a metropolitan statistical area of 767,598, the largest within the state.  CNNMoney.com named Columbia as one of America's 25 Best Places to Retire, and US News & World Report ranked the city sixth on its 2009 America's Best Affordable Places to Retire list.

For the calendar year ending 2009, over $38,000,000 million dollars in licensing & regulatory revenue was processed by the agency.
