June 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Underfloor heating systems have become more popular and more home owners are opting to have underfloor heating installed especially if they are renovating a new or old property. Many home owners don’t know much about underfloor heating systems or what has to be considered when installing it and if you are thinking seriously about this kind of system, it is always best to gather as much information as possible before you begin to shop around.
There are two types of underfloor heating, the wet system and the electric system. The wet system works from your central heating and are more suited to house renovations, when the system can be fitted during the renovation project.  The electric system can be fitted under almost any floor and there are certain systems available that are ideal for awkward corners and smaller rooms.
There are lots of considerations when thinking about wet underfloor heating and it is really important that you get advice from a professional from the beginning. Lots of factors are involved such as the type of boiler you have, where your furniture will be in the kitchen or bathroom and what flooring you are considering using.
Many electric underfloor heating systems can be installed direct onto concrete floors and then tiled over and are relatively easy to install, giving the home owner economical underfloor heating in either bathrooms or kitchens. Many systems are now easier to install and the elements are quite thin on some of these systems, especially the warmup variety. It is however always best to seek information and guidance to make sure the job is done professionally.
There are many advantages to underfloor heating and the absence of radiators will really add to the minimalistic look and feel of your room. Underfloor heating is also described as a gentler heat, radiating from the floor upwards and if installed under tiles, will really feel warm and cosy.
The electric underfloor heating can be used as your main source of heating or in existence with central heating and many home owners prefer to install these systems in selective rooms such as kitchens, bathroom and conservatories. Selecting a good reputable company and gathering as much information as you can will ensure you carry out any underfloor heating system installation successfully.
