O-VOUCHERS™ summer launch capitalises on the worldwide surge in popularity for coupons, both among marketeers and consumers. Some 77 per cent of consumers use coupons and 28 per cent are looking for more promotional offers than they were a year ago, according to GfK NOP research commissioned by Valassis Ltd, which handles 85 per cent of coupons in the UK for the nation’s major retailers and FMCG brands.
Britons redeem more than 2.4 million discount vouchers every day, according to other research from moneysupermarket.com, an increase of 25 per cent on last year, while a survey by DiscountVouchers.co.uk reveals that higher earners are among the most discount savvy, with 61 per cent of its website visitors coming from high income groups.
