Human Capital Strategies Adds Five New Employees to the Team

Local professional employer organization (PEO) Human Capital Strategies is keenly in touch with employment trends and is leading the resurgence by recently adding five new members to its team.

Founded in 2007 by Jason Knight, Human Capital Strategies (HCS) is located in Mesa, Ariz. Starting with just 700 square feet, the office was expanded to 1,700 square feet after a year; then, the team outgrew that office and moved to a new location that gave them 2,000 square feet. Within one year, though, they were already expanding to 3,500 square feet. Why the continual expansions? In part, it was due to an expanded customer base, which necessitated adding five new staff members: Scott Sandberg, Rex Reynolds, Norma Ramirez, Danielle King, and Rocio Mankel.

According to Knight, the reason HCS has been so successful in a challenging economy is due to their focus on providing an unsurpassed client experience: “We are always looking for ways to add value for our clients, from improved customer service to our monthly HCS C.A.R.E.S. events, which brings in industry experts to conduct presentations on issues relevant to the community.”

The new additions:
As manager of training and development, Scott Sandberg designs and delivers the employee development curriculum, one of the hallmarks of Human Capital Strategies’ expanded services. Prior to joining the team, Sandberg worked in retail and higher education, honing his talents in human resources and training design.

Rex Reynolds is HCS’s new benefits specialist, collaborating with clients to help them understand their benefits and acting as liaison and mediator between clients and insurance companies. He has been in the industry for 10 years, including experience in benefits, insurance, and financial services.

When you’re a payroll company, you need a few people in that department. Norma Ramirez and Danielle King are Human Capital Strategies’ new payroll assistants. They both support the payroll manager in ensuring that clients’ payroll is processed properly and paychecks are distributed.

And when you call or visit the office, you might speak to Rocio Mankel, one of the administrative assistants who greets guests and directs phone calls. She has the friendly voice and disposition to make everyone feel at ease.
