Eddie Steeples is an American actor perhaps most famous for his gregarious roles as the Emmy-nominated Rubberband Man in an advertising campaign for OfficeMax, and as Darnell "Crab Man" Turner on the NBC sitcom My Name Is Earl. Steeples is also known for his major motion pictures roles in such films as Akeelah and the Bee and Torque. Steeples has worked alongside notables such as Laurence Fishburn, Angela Bassett, Faison Love, Jaime Pressly, and Jason Lee.
In addition to dramatic and comedic acting, Eddie Steeples is a writer, producer, director, and rapper. An innovator and advocate of independent art, Steeples has a history in repertory theatre and is part of the experimental art and film project Mo-Freek by Kevin Ford, appearing in several Mo-Freek productions including Lost in the Bush, Caravan Summer and People are Dead. Eddie has also appeared in several short films in his career including Whoa and Reel Life. Eddie is a member of the avant garde hip-hop group No Surrender and has been named one of the Sexiest Men Alive by People Magazine.
Steeples' is currently in post-production on the Mo-Freek film Legs, for which he executive produces and stars as "Legs" Johnson, a rockstar in trouble in the Hollywood Hills. Eddie is also completing his solo album.
