Staccato Publishing, a small publishing company based in Zimmerman, Minnesota has officially opened its doors and is now welcoming new authors as well as promoting the works of existing authors. Staccato aims to serve a small number of authors and intends to concentrate on fiction, however, the staff will also assist aspiring self-publishing authors with services such as editing and cover art production. Staccato’
s first author, HK Savage debuted with her novel, Empath, the first in The Empath Trilogy, December 2010 and has been well received with audiences growing in over 11 countries and stellar reviews from readers as well as industry experts. The most recent being from Vamptasy Publishing, giving Empath 5 out of 5 stars and making Empath a staff favorite. Books are available through Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Smashwords, and Staccato’s own website, http://www.staccatopublishing.com
Founder and Editor-in-Chief Heather Savage says about her inspiration for the company, “There are two extremes right now in the publishing world. Either you get into a big publishing house or you self-publish and no one takes you seriously. I want to help authors get their books into the best shape possible and then help them get the word out there to have their shot. There are too many good stories that just aren’t being heard.”
Staccato’s recent addition of author Jay Mims and his debut novel, The Five Santas, a murder mystery, promises to be another success. The Five Santas is set to come out in September, in time for 2011 holiday sales.
