Childrens dental problems have worsened over the past decade. Causing this problem are bad diet and poor tooth brushing habits. While dentists recommend brushing more often they have not provided parents with a simple approach to motivate brushing.

Children’s dental problems have worsened over the past decade and Pediatric Dentists,

Dental Hygienists and Pediatricians are noting more tooth decay in children than ever.

What can a parent do to deal effectively with this problem?  Parents need a

fun & practical way to get their children to brush and to-date there has not been

a simple, easy approach to help parents solve this dilemma – until now.

Every child loses baby teeth and should be made to feel special and loved.  Losing baby

teeth can be an exciting time in a child’s growth and development especially when its filled with

wonder and belief in the TOOTH FAIRY.  The magic and mystique of a Tooth Fairy offers a parent

an opportunity to encourage and motivate better dental hygiene. With this in mind, I would

like to share an easy adaptable, parenting oriented idea, that is both fun and practical.

A catalyst called THE TOOTHFAIRY*S BABY TOOTH BANK (http://tfairy.com/toothbank.html)

has qualities which can encourage and motivate children to brush longer and more often.

Since this bank showcases each fallen baby tooth (in its very own cubby), it makes an ideal focal point

for parent and child to evaluate the cleanliness of each baby tooth versus prior teeth that have come

out.  It also provides parents and children a special a safe place to organize and save - each fallen baby

tooth, tooth fairy monies and the memorable dates.

In fact, it is Tooth Fairy money which is very important.  Its provide motivation because a cleaner-

whiter baby tooth can fetch more money from The Tooth Fairy than a tooth that is not-so-clean.

As each baby tooth falls out, it is showcased in its very own cubby, on the banks pillow

base.  Parent and child can sit together and both try to predict what money the Tooth

Fairy will leave based upon - how the current fallen tooth compares to the last fallen baby tooth.

Of course, a cleaner, whiter baby tooth will likely get more money from the TOOTH FAIRY.  A child

quickly realizes the cause-effect relationship and as a result will be motivated to spend more time

brushing.  With this fun approach a child’s belief in Tooth Fairy magic can be harnessed to

motivate brushing.

At the age of 3 or 4 the fun begins by telling ones child about the legend of

THE TOOTH FAIRY, with one minor addition the introduction of THE

TOOTHFAIRY*S BABY TOOTH BANK - a special present from the Tooth Fairy to

insure that baby teeth will not get lost or misplaced in Tooth Fairyland.  This bank

will safeguard each baby tooth and will facilitate comparing the relative cleanliness of baby teeth.

According to market research conducted independently by the Wharton School - 65% of

all mothers actually save their children’s baby teeth but don’t have a special place to put

them.  Most children want to save their baby teeth and are delighted with this bank!

They are proud of their personal possessions and love to show them off while they are

stored in the bank, to anyone willing to listen.
