Stor-I.com Saves Stories and Videos on the Human Experience

Stor-I is a new, unique website where users can travel through time and place, to find, read, write and share personal experiences. Stor-I has now been updated to support linking YouTube videos to the personal experiences.

PRLog - May 31, 2011 - History often happens in small bits and it doesn’t have to be earth shattering to be important. Michel Jongbloed has created the story site, Stor-I.com, that allows individuals around the world to record stories of importance to them before the details are lost to time. The site has now been updated to support linking YouTube videos to the stories.

“I first started the site for fun,” said Jongbloed, “but after a while, I started to realize the site was something special. It provides people with a place to share their own personal stories, preferably fresh when they happened, thus making sure the details would not get lost in time.”

Stor-I.com is a unique site that allows users to write and post stories of importance to them and link those stories to a time and place. The site includes a feature that displays the occurrence of stories on a time map. A moveable timeline is included, and the time map and timeline can be moved using a mouse. YouTube videos can easily be linked to stories for a complete multi-media experience.

The innovative social media site can be used to chronicle the events in the user’s life, store vacation memories, recount a historical event or record family stories for genealogical purposes. For those who doubt their writing skills, stories can be saved as private, limiting the number of people who can view the entries. Stor-I.com can be used by anyone and writers can remain anonymous if they desire.

The website provides an ideal means for users to relate their stories of personal triumph, heroics and childhood memories. Users can share information about specific locations, or provide eyewitness accounts of a variety of events.

Sign up is free and members can register to receive the site’s RSS feed. Fans can follow the site on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Stor-Icom-Your-Personal-Sto... and on Twitter at http://twitter.com/#!/stor_i_com. The site is fully searchable by person, date or location.

Store-I.com allows individuals to relate their personal stories, while allowing others to journey through virtual time and space to discover what happened in the past. Stories of personal consequence can be submitted by anyone worldwide, providing a collective memory of the human experience.

Jongbloed can be reached via email with the convenient form on the website, or directly at jongbloed@stor-i.com. For more information, visit the website at http://www.stor-i.com.
