Mt. Evans Hospice & Home Health Care Launches Memorial Brick Fundraiser

Mt. Evans Hospice & Home Health Care is launching a "Memorial Brick" fundraising program that offers the opportunity to honor and remember loved ones while supporting this nonprofit that touches so many lives in the mountain community.

PRLog - May 31, 2011 - The engraved bricks will be used to build a walkway from the front door of Mt. Evans' office building at 3081 Bergen Peak Drive to a Memorial Garden that will be created at the base of the recently unveiled Peace sculpture by Lorri Alcott-Fowler. There are two brick sizes available -- 4-by-8 inches for $100 or 8-by-8 inches for $250 - with room for the name of a departed loved one and a short message.

Sallie Wandling, Director of Community Relations for Mt. Evans, envisions the garden as a beautiful place where people can come to remember someone they have lost while creating a legacy for that loved one.

Because some people have expressed a desire to also honor the living with bricks, Mt. Evans will create a patio of tribute bricks in a separate garden area.

Bricks can be purchased online at http://www.mtevans.org.

Proceeds from the sale of the bricks will help Mt. Evans Hospice & Home Health Care continue to deliver compassionate care for our community members.
