The One World Futbol Project is focused on bringing the joy of soccer to kids around the world—including those in our own backyard. With the Oakland public schools facing severe budget cuts, athletic programs and equipment are often the first to go. As a result, opportunities for healthy development also disappear. Sports can instill important life skills, including teamwork, confidence, fair play and respect—and also give kids a chance to be active and have fun.
Two Ways to Give to Two Great Causes
Through the “Give One” program, people can buy a ball for $25 which will be donated to Oakland’s public schools—and the One World Futbol Project will also donate $5 of that purchase to help support the Bay Oaks U10 girls’ soccer team. To participate, simply purchase a One World Futbol (or more!), choose the “Give One to Oakland’s Schools” option on the main Buy Now page at http://oneworldfutbol.com
In addition, through the “Give One Get One” program, people can also purchase a ball for themselves and at the same time support Bay Oaks and Oakland Schools clicking on our Give One, Get One page, and entering “bayoaks10”
All balls purchased through the pilot Bay Oaks program will go to participating Oakland public schools in need of sports equipment.
