May 31, 2011 - PRLog -- 3Droundabout (http://3Droundabout.com), the trade magazine for stereoscopic 3D content creation, delivery and display in the EMEA region, is pleased to be supporting TVBEurope’s second 3D Masters conference to be held at BAFTA in London on 15 June 2011.

3D Masters will bring together experienced practitioners, 3D equipment vendors and leading broadcasters to discuss the lessons learned from 3DTV productions; the key issues facing producers wanting to move into 3D; and the direction of core technology.

Its mission is to encourage quality production of 3D content through frank and informative discussion. The conference will outline the core ‘best practice’ acquisition techniques for handling convergence before taking a step-by-step look at 3D workflow from acquisition and monitoring on set to post production.

The line-up of speakers includes Anthony Geffen of Atlantic Productions, who will present a case study of Flying Monsters 3D. Flying Monsters 3D for Sky 3D recently won Best Special Factual programme at the 2011 BAFTA Television Awards.

Flying Monsters 3D will be one of three case study presentations to focus on the practicalities of a 3D production. This will be followed by an opportunity to analyse the clips and explore what worked, what were the challenges faced and what tips can be shared with the audience. The other case studies are: Carmen 3D with Phil Streather, CEO, Principal Large Format; and Andy Millns, founder and director, Pointy Stick and Inition.

Leading presentations will also come from: Chris Johns, chief engineer Broadcast Strategy at BSkyB; Vince Pace, co-chairman and CEO, Cameron-Pace Group (CPG); and Steve Schklair, chief executive officer, 3Ality Digital Systems.

3D Masters offers a unique opportunity to benefit from industry updates, learn from real-life examples and network with peers. You can register online at the 3D Masters web site http://www.3d-tvmasters.com where you will also find details of the agenda and video interviews with key speakers.
