Gig Harbor, WA, May 30, 2011: Tom Jonez, President of Plumbline Management Corporation, a Gig Harbor based marketing consulting firm, has won a 2011 Telly Award for excellence in creative achievement for “What I Wish I Knew at 18,” a promotional video produced for Dennis Trittin and his new book by the same title.
The 5-minute video is a portrayal of Gig Harbor’s Dennis Trittin in his role a father, retired business leader and author. It highlights his thinking regarding the book’s value to his teen-age target audience and provides insight for parents, educators, and community leaders who see Trittin’s book as a resource to young adults. The core content of the book, What I Wish I Knew at 18, consists of practical life-skills advice and is directed to teens as they move from High School and College into the adult work-force.
The 2011 Telly Awards competition is the 32nd annual recognition of outstanding local, regional, national and international video and film productions;
The Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies. A judging panel of more than 500 industry professionals, each a previous winner of a Telly, call the shots on the winning titles. Last year’s winners included video productions from big names such as TV Guide Network, Harpo Studios, CBS Television Distribution and The Weather Channel, among others.
“We’re pleased to win another Telly to add to our collection, but we’re really gratified to know that the work we’re doing on this years’ winning video helps to promote Dennis Trittin’s book, a book designed to help teens across the country as they emerge from the scholastic setting into their lives as adults,” said Jonez. Last year Jonez and a production team received a 2010 Telly award for their work on “The Future Hope,” a documentary video produced for Restore International.
