The evolution of the electricity grid is the key to challenge for Europe’s electricity networks. The months ahead will witness the maturation of smart grids as all trials and pilots move to the production deployment.

Cities around the world are dealing with the increasing demand for power and are channeling expertise into developing solutions that are more energy efficient and sustainable. Cities have been investing into infrastructure to make them hyper-connected and environmentally sound. Living in a smart city has become almost a civic right. The conversations about what projects will get the green light are approaching. The possibilities are endless.

Smart cities will be on the top of the agenda at the Smart Grids Smart Cities Conference, which will take place from 13th to 14th of September in Lisbon, Portugal.
