OUR TOWN NEWS launches Margate Edition in partnership with The City of Margate

May 27, 2011 - PRLog -- OUR TOWN NEWS has been one of the local area's most popular community news magazines for over fifteen years.  OTN began as a weekly newspaper in 1997 with primary distribution rotating through four  zip code zones of Parkland and Coral Springs every four weeks.  Over 50,000 copies are distributed by the U.S. Post Office to area homes and businesses during each four week cycle.  Several thousand additional copies are hand delivered weekly to numerous businesses and offices throughout Coral Springs, Parkland, Coconut Creek, Tamarac, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton and Margate, Florida.  

Beginning in July 2011, a new magazine, OUR TOWN NEWS MARGATE will begin publishing to serve as the community news magazine for The City of Margate.  OTN will be working in partnership with city officials to keep residents and businesses up to date with local events and news.  OTN will also be working with local schools and numerous organizations to support the community and its businesses.

Margate Mayor, Pam Donovan, stated "The City of Margate is excited to announce the launch of a new pilot project, which we feel will have a significant impact on the promotion of our wonderful community.  We are collaborating with “Our Town News” to feature all the City’s programs and services to area residents as well as promote our local businesses."

"The objective for the new Margate Edition of Our Town News is to be a cheerleader for the local community, support the efforts of residents and businesses to continue building a thriving and prosperous Margate," said John Brodie, GM and Sales Director for OTN.  "There are a lot of exciting things going on in Margate and we're going to let everyone know about it."

OUR TOWN NEWS has a great history to build on and a track record of success.  The months ahead will be filled with growth, community events and positive developments for the city.  OTN is very excited to have the chance to support and promote this thriving community in the months and years ahead.  The publication will launch with two initial issues in July and October 2011 and plans to continue as a monthly or bi-monthly publication from then on.   We will be printing 30,000 copies of the OUR TOWN NEWS MARGATE Edition with nearly 28,000 mailed to all of the home and business addresses in the City of Margate.  The rest will be hand delivered to key Margate locations for free pickup.
