May 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Beit David Highland Lakes Shul, in Aventura, has announced that it will hold its annual Gala Dinner Event this coming June 6th. The theme of the event, “To Build, To Grow, To Inspire” represents not only the organization’s values, but also the members of the community that will be honored that night:
-   Dr. Mario Ginzburg, the shul’s previous president and this year’s Presidential Award, was instrumental in coordinating the construction of our new building. Our new home has allowed us to build our presence in the community and provide not only a house of worship, but also a gathering place for the shul’s members and the community at large.
-   Mr. Jon Fridlender, this year’s Young Leadership Award, arrived to the community from Australia just a few years ago, and has quickly become a pillar of the community, not only through the shul, but through other organizations as well. His dedication and willingness to help people in need is truly an example that must be followed and recognized.
-   Mr. Howard Bienenfeld, Mr. Yossi Yativ, and Dr. Bernard Weinbach, inspire us every Shabbat and during the week and Holidays with their beautiful and meaningful reading of the Torah. Their participation and willingness to always teach and help us grow make them an integral part of our shul.

At the dinner, the shul will also recognize Rabbi Eliezer and Chanie Wolf, who joined the community in January and have quickly become our mentors and teachers. Their outstanding warmth, hospitality, knowledge, and hard work has already been recognized. “The Rabbi’s and Rebbetzin’s outstanding achievements in their first few months has been very exciting”, said Ilan Sredni, the Shul’s president. “They have come to our community with a profound vision, which includes enhancing the atmosphere of the Shul ensuring that it caters to Jews from all backgrounds.”
Entertainment for the event will be provided by Marc Salem. Mr. Salem is a most sought after entertainer around the globe. He has been featured with Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes. A truly astonishing and captivating excursion into the power and possibilities of the human mind, Marc Sa¬lem uses a quick wit, psychological techniques, a sharp eye, and twenty years of training, to engage the audience in a series of hilarious, astounding and mystifying Mind Games. He can identify people and objects hidden by time and space.
The cost of the event is $120 per person or $200 per couple. Please contact the shul’s office at 305-935-4140 for further information and for advertising opportunities in the event’s journal.

About Rabbi Eliezer Wolf: Originating from Australia, Rabbi Eliezer Wolf studied and trained for Rabbinics both in Israel and in the US. He was a fellow in the Midtown Manhattan Kollel for several years, and most recently has instructed online Talmud courses for thousands of viewers. He presides over an international Rabbinic organization dealing with infertility in the Jewish community called Project Chai.
Rabbi Wolf believes that the Torah must be experienced in the context of a modern, technologically advanced world. He feels that Judaism has an inclusive and comprehensive message that can be tailored to every individual according to his or her level, and he cherishes the privilege to help convey and coach that message.
A cardinal principle in Rabbi Wolf's weltanschauung is that Judaism is a journey, not a destination. Success in one's spiritual mission is defined not by 'where one is holding', but rather by 'where one is heading'.
Having travelled the globe and experienced life within the gamut of Jewish communities, Rabbi Wolf feels comfortable engaging any sort of audience and communicating the Torah - what he calls "the script of life" - in a suitable language. His academic interests include Judaic Law, Talmud, Jewish philosophy, Jewish history, and Jewish humor. Beyond academia, Rabbi Wolf believes that Judaism ought to be experiential, and that meditative prayer, ahavat yisroel and a yearning for the ultimate rebuilding of the Jewish homeland are paramount.
Rabbi Wolf loves Chazzanut, and studied music and the cantorial art for several years.
