Advanced TrimWright launches “ATW Roadshow;” traveling house will visit at lumber yards throughout New England in unique marketing program

May 25, 2011 - PRLog -- If you happen to be driving along a New England road this spring and summer and see what looks like a house on a trailer, don’t assume it is the result of your over-active imagination.  You are probably witnessing a unique marketing program in the works.

Advanced TrimWright (ATW), a leading, custom re-manufacturer of PVC exterior trim products for residential and commercial construction use, plans to take its show on the road. Literally.

Some companies promote their products via trade shows. Others use billboards or buy advertising. Daniel Andrade, President/CEO of ATW, had a better idea. He built a house, and bought a trailer to transport it from place to place throughout New England.

The event has been dubbed the ATW Roadshow, and its mission is to promote products from the two companies that Andrade owns and operates: the first is the PVC trim, molding and millwork that ATW creates, and the second is a line of adhesives created and distributed by their sister company, Bond&Fill.

The ATW exterior PVC trim and millwork is created from white solid cellular polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Regionally, the material is emerging as a popular alternative to wood trim because of advantages that include a lifetime material warranty: the material does not rot, corrode, delaminate or swell excessively from moisture. And it’s great protection against the ravages of insects on trimboard for homes, historic buildings and churches.

ATW millwork and trim has applications that include pergolas, trim board, corner trim, columns, window trim, gutter trim, beadboard, lattice, molding, bevel siding, fencing, and more. All of these items are created at the ATW manufacturing facility in East Taunton. And, while the ATW products are carried in many lumber yards, Dan Andrade sought a way to call more attention to the product and created the ATW Roadshow.

“Frequently, lumber yards and big box stores will host their own events where they invite two or three vendors to share a table and be part of a big promotion,” he said, adding, “We believe the best way to get noticed is to create our own event and take it on the road to these locations.”

Andrade and his team invested more than $30,000 for the summer program, including construction of a 20’ long, 7 ½’ wide house made from their PVC products. “What better way to demonstrate the versatility of the product than this,” he said. They additionally purchased a custom trailer to transport the house from venue to venue. Over the next four months, they will visit 35 locations throughout New England.

At each location they will have a 4-day stop. On the first day, there is a demonstration of both the value of PVC and the products from sister company Bond&Fill (www.bondfill.com), which is a line of sealants and adhesives for use with PVC products. A representative from the company will be on hand to answer questions and talk about the uses of the products.  Also on the first day, ATW provides a lunch for visitors, and offers the opportunity to win two prizes: a fully-loaded Bond&Fill® Buddy™, 5-Gallon Keg Organizer, valued at $225. The booth remains on site for three more days until ATW comes to transport it to the next location; on the closing day, there is a drawing for a second prize, an ATW gift certificate valued at $250.

The ATW Roadshow recently visited Mozzone Lumber in Taunton. There is a complete schedule of stops available by contact ATW at 877-822-7734.

Andrade, who spent 25 years as a contactor before founding ATW in 2001 and Bond&Fill in 2003, said he believes this is the first of its kind marketing program in the industry. As the company President/CEO, he “walks the walk” where the product is concerned. He lives in a 200+ year old antique in Raynham, MA, and has completely restored the exterior with PVC products.
