Attorney Bill Hair Honored for Water Conservation

May 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Recognizing contributions to further water conservation, the United Water Conservation District recently honored prominent attorney William “Bill” Hair, senior partner at Nordman Cormany Hair and Compton LLP (NCHC), with the 15th Annual Richard V. Laubacher Water Conservation Award for demonstrated innovation and leadership in water conservation in the agricultural, business or educational fields in Ventura County.  
   Hair received the award during the Association of Water Agencies’ Annual Symposium, where he was heralded as an individual who has a well-deserved reputation as an active problem-solver and one who takes the lead in some of the area’s most controversial water resource issues, including Oxnard Plain pumping, surface water deliveries, water infrastructure and facilities, and intergovernmental relations.
   Prior achievements related to his water work include Hair’s service as president and vice-president of the Association of Water Agencies (AWA), recognition as AWA Board Member of the Year and receipt in 2007 of the prestigious AWA Outstanding Water Leader of the Year Award.
   He has been involved in Ventura County water issues throughout his 50-plus years of law practice. He has represented numerous public and private clients in water matters, including serving as general counsel for a number of water agencies.
