The award was presented at the 34th annual RE/MAX Northern Illinois awards ceremony. To earn this honor, RE/MAX broker/owners must recruit top agents to their offices, guide their offices to steady growth, command a leading market share and take an active role in charitable and real estate industry activities.
Ewing, 52, entered the real estate industry nine years ago as a sales agent and immediately affiliated with RE/MAX. Prior to that time, Ewing, a life-long resident of Elgin, worked for 17 years as a technology management professional with an international accounting firm. He became broker/owner of RE/MAX Horizon in 2008, acquiring the office when its former broker/owner retired. Ewing then arranged a successful consolidation with a neighboring RE/MAX office.
The consolidation helped RE/MAX Horizon grow in an impressive manner. Today, it has 28 agents, and RE/MAX has the largest market share in Elgin, with an impressive 24 percent of the transactions closed there.
In addition, Ewing has been active in the broader RE/MAX organization, serving on the RE/MAX Northern Illinois Sales Advisory Council as both a representative and board member before becoming a broker/owner.
