May 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Panic attacks s episodes of intense fear or anxiety that occur suddenly (often without warning). They affect both men and women with equal propensity. While antidepressants are commonly prescribed for panic attacks, not all are helped. Self-help for panic attacks can be effective and should be a part of your plan if you have trouble with panic attacks.

Some simple steps that can help are, cut back on your media time. Watch less television, especially anything with violence, don't watch scary movies, but give your mind a rest by spending time with nature, taking up art and exercising. Eat a nutritious, balanced diet, and try to avoid extremes.

The Association for Natural Psychology is pleased to provide practical information on self help for those who experience panic attacks and other mental health difficulties.
