The Destination Guide video travel log has voted King George IV Bed & Breakfast the best historic B & B in Charleston.
Built as a home for journalist and Jeffersonian politician Peter Freneau in the 1790s, the inn currently is owned by husband and wife team Terry and Debra Flowers. The Flowers have spent several years lovingly restoring King George IV room by room.

The Savannah competition came down to the wire, as Doc’s Bar in nearby Tybee Island edged out Case Veterinary Hospital, Churchill’s Pub, Vic’s on the River, The Armstrong Inns, Johnnie Ganem’s Winery & Package Store and Blue Orb Ghost Tours.
