Patrick Vet is a walk-in clinic, always has been and always will be. In the same location since 1974, Patrick Vet practices small animal medicine and surgery, so primarily dogs and cats.

“It’s a friendly atmosphere,” says one longtime fan. “All the doctors here have a friendly, caring disposition toward their patients. I always admire veterinarians because their patients can’t actually tell them where it hurts. We’ve had all manner of tragedy befall our animals, and they’ve all been well taken care of.”

The Best of Charleston is the second installment in www.thedestinationguide.com’s “Best of” competition. The so-called “Holy City” follows on the heels of its neighbor to the south, Savannah.

The Best of Charleston competition gives fans an opportunity to vote for their favorite destination simply by watching a video. The video with the most “views” at the end of 30 days wins a commercial package.

The Savannah competition came down to the wire, as Doc’s Bar in nearby Tybee Island edged out Case Veterinary Hospital, Churchill’s Pub, Vic’s on the River, The Armstrong Inns, Johnnie Ganem’s Winery & Package Store and Blue Orb Ghost Tours.
