May 26, 2011 - PRLog -- The Hotel RIU Cypria Resort in Paphos, Cyprus has reportedly been hit with an outbreak of sickness in recent weeks with returning guests complaining of diarrhoea and vomiting, symptoms consistent with food poisoning.

Online reviews relate that many people have suffered gastric problems including a large wedding party.

Clare Campbell, Partner at Travel Law specialists Pannone LLP advised "if you have been on holiday abroad and been unfortunate enough to suffer illness you should consult your GP as soon as you get home to identify what your illness is.  You should retain any documentation obtained in resort such as medical invoices, pharmacy receipts, customer complaint forms etc.  I then suggest that you take legal advice.  If it is that the source of the illness is found to be the failings of the Hotel / Tour Operator then you may be entitled to compensation".
