Also at the 17th Street Beach Entrance in Ship Bottom was the Ship Bottom Mayor and Countil, Assemleywomen Diann Gove, Ocean County Freeholder Gerry Little, Ocean County Clerk Scott Corabela, , Southern Ocean County Chamber President Chris Schwab and Vice Presient Andrea Driscoll, LBI Region DMO Director Lori Pepenella, as well as representatives from the US Marines, Breeze Radio FM, Tuckerton Seaport, Reclam the Bay, Operation Jersey Shore Vacation, Vintage Automobile Museum, Lighthouse International Film Festival, Island Surf and Sail, LBIF Green Business Panel, Shilp Bottom Merchant Association and the Ship Bottom Republican Club.
In celebration of the 175th Anniversary of the Barnegat Bay Sneakbox, Congressman Runyan, Assemblywomen Gove and other officials christened the Tuckerton Seaport boat in honor of it's coastal heritage. In addition to Island Surf and Sail Water Sports Demos, Oceanside Bait and Tackle Surf Fishing Q&A, the Breeze Radio station offered a Kite Contest, The Vintage Automobile Museum displayed a 1962 Corvette Convertable.
The event was organized by the Long Beach Island Destination Marketing Organization and it's Tourism Panel to help promote the upcoming start of the season and celebrate what makes the Jersey Shore so special.
