Safety features include advanced front multistage airbags that sense the severity of the impact and inflate with different levels of force. Supplemental Front Seat Side and Side Curtain Airbags offer additional protection for front outboard occupants.  The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) combines ABS brakes, All-Speed Traction Control and a stability system to give drivers the all-season capability of front-wheel drive with the performance of rear-wheel drive.  It determines when to apply the brakes to one or more wheels, and when to reduce engine torque in critical driving situations.  All trims use 4-wheel anti-lock brakes.
