The Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce Taste of Boynton was a great success!

May 23, 2011 - PRLog -- This event is designed to feature the best of Boynton's eateriers and caterers.  Palm Beach Community Bank was the title "Taste of Boynton"  sponsor.  Benvenuto's on North Federal Highway opened their doors and 3 PM to welcome 14 local restaurants who were setting up their food tables and displays.  Doors opened to the public at 6:30PM and the event lasted until 10:00 PM.  Approximatley 25 different wines were available for tasting, sponsored by The Wine Cellar Boynton Beach, located in Renaissance Commons.  Guests received a special wine glass imprinted with the event logo and a special plate that they could use to sample more than 50 different food items.  From sweets and steak, seafood and side dishes, to delicious entrees of all kinds.

"The Chamber was thrilled with the response to this fabulous food and wine event" stated Chamber President Glenn Jergensen.  "The restaurants outdid themselves and The Wine Cellar pulled out all the stops."

He went on to add that the great turnout represented the spirit, pride and support of the Boynton Beach local community.  A silent auction was held and there was entertainment provided by a four-piece dance band called Cricklewood.  A good time was held by all and everyonce left commenting that they look forward to next year's Taste of Boynton event.
